My list for Santa Claus - Ma liste au Père Noël

- J'ai envie de prendre un des coupons de coton ivoire que j'ai, le couper en triangle ou en grand rectangle, et le recouvrir de motifs à la Sophie Digard ou au crochet irlandais, sauf que je n'enlèverai peut-être pas le tissu à la fin. J'ai de l'alpaca 1 d'Isager qui devrait convenir. Il est assez fin.
- j'ai envie d'une robe d'hiver, toute blanche pour chasser la grisaille, décorée de flocons bleu pâle
-  j'ai envie d'un gilet col bateau et boutonné dans le dos.
- j'ai envie d'un collier ras du cou en dentelle qui se continue en plastron.
- j'ai envie d'un énorme sac bourse avec un fermoir de 30cm que j'ai déniché sur Etsy. Peut-être bleu nuit avec des constellations brodées dessus.
- J'ai envie d'une robe en alpaga dentelle.
- J'ai envie d'un châle en mohair décoré aux angles de fuchsias en 3D.
- J'ai envie un gilet long.
- j'ai envie d'un nouveau boléro pour avoir chaud à l'atelier sans risquer la surchauffe.
- j'ai envie d'une jupe recouverte de feuilles d'érable au crochet.
- je veux un top d'inspiration néo-victorienne, avec dentelle dans le décolleté.

=> J'ai *besoin* de quatre paire de mains...

- I want to use one of my ivory fabrics, cut a large triangle or a large rectangle, and then cover it with motives à la Sophie Digard or Irish crochet. Except I won't remove the fabric, it will act as a background. I have some Isager Alpaca 1, it should work, as it is very fine.
- I want a winter dress, white in order to ward off the grey of the winter sky. With pale blue snowflakes.
- I want a cardi that has a boat neck and is closed in the back.
- I want a choker that is lacy and ends in a plastron.
- I want a huge frame purse; I have bought a 30cm purse frame on Etsy. Maybe midnight blue, with the constellations embroidered on it.
- I want an alpaca lace dress.
- I want a mohair shawl with 3D fuchsias at the angles.
- I want a warm duster
- I want a new bolero so that I am warm but don't overheat at the laundry.
- I want a skirt that is made of crocheted maple leaves.
- I want a neo-victorian top, with lace filling the décolletage.

=> I *need* four pairs of hands...

Dans mon esprit, ces énormes châles sont une version plus moderne, accessible et roots des châles de cachemire ou dentelle portés durant tout le XIXème siècle. J'adore!

In my mind, this is the crunchy, modern and affordable equivalent of the gorgeous cashmere or lace shawls that were worn during all the 19th century. I love them!

Malheureusement je ne sais pas si j'aurai assez; je n'ai que 900m de mohair. Et mon mohair est tout multicolore, j'ai peur du résultat.

Alors comme ça, M6 a adapté the Great British Sewing Bee, appelé de ce côté de la Manche Cousu Main . Un peu trop tv réalité à mon goût, mais de la couture à 18h00 sur une grande chaîne, ça fait du bien.
Mais ce que j'ai surtout remarqué  et ce qui m'a littéralement hypnotisé, c'est le beau gilet romantique de la candidate appelée Caroline dans l'épisode  numéro deux. On peut le voir (malheureusement pas très bien) ici. Une merveille longue et toute volantée.

So M6 adapted in France the BBC show the Great British Sewing Bee. Over here it's called Cousu Main (litteraly "Handsewn", but something that's "cousu main" in vernacular is something that's really neat and tidy and well made). It looks a bit too much like real tv for me, but it's so good to see handsewing at 6pm on a major tv channel.
But what really interested me, and it almost hypnotized me, was the beautiful romantic cardi worn by Caroline on the second episode of the show. There is a pic over there but one can't see it very precisely. A marvel of flounces in a long cardi.

Alors évidemment, j'en veux un. Pas forcément le même, juste un fortement inspiré.
Au début, j'ai été très ambitieuse, en voulant rajouter de la dentelle. Estonienne, pas moins que ça...

So, of course, I immediately needed one such cardi in my life. Not necessarily the exact same, but something inspired by it.
At the beginning, I got very ambitious and planned for lace. Estonian, no less...

J'aime bien les deux, surtout celle avec les feuilles, mais finalement ça ferait un peu trop; je les garde dans un coin de ma tête pour plus tard. Peut-être un chauffe-épaules...
De plus, je crois que le Baby Alpaca Silk de Drops Poudre fait trop première communiante. Je pense que je vais utiliser du Kidsilk prune. Ce sera plus proche de l'original. La suite au prochain numéro :)

I love both, and I love even more the one with the leaves, but I'm beginning to think it might be too much. I'll keep them in mind for something else. Maybe a beautiful shrug...
Furthermore, I think Drops Baby Alpaca Silk in Powder gives it an air of first communion. I think I'm going to frog and use plum Kidsilk instead. It will look more like the original. To be continued :)
